Calabasas, Ca (April 28th, 2004) – Entertainment software developer and publisher NovaLogic, Inc. today announced that the squad based, large scale multiplayer combat title Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising, will now be released in early Summer, 2004.
Set in Indonesia in the near future, Joint Ops is set to be one of the largest multiplayer FPS games ever released. Developed using NovaLogic’s enhanced Black Hawk engine, with superior multiplayer technology, gamers will experience the smoothest 150+ player games ever played, even with a 56K connection.
In Joint Ops gamers will join the ferocious struggle between Joint Operations Forces and Indonesian Rebels, where team work is essential for survival and ultimate victory!
· Explosive 150 + player games! Play in games of over 150* players online via NovaWorld®, or host up to 32 player games online or over a LAN.
· 29 Land, Sea & Air Drivable Vehicles – Cut through the water in a Mark V boat, rain hell fire from above, while piloting an AH-6 Little Bird, or smash the domineering Stryker through enemy territory and a lot more!
· Take out the enemy & defend with valor with 35 modern-day weapons! Deliver a deadly long range message with a shoulder fired Stinger missile, or kick-ass at close range with the M4 rifle with optional M203 grenade launcher.
· HUGE unprecedented jungle environments! Wage war across maps that span up to 64KM2, with viewing distances up to 1KM

Entertainment software developer and publisher NovaLogic, Inc. announced that they have teamed up with Even Balance, Inc. to integrate the PunkBuster™ Anti-Cheat system into the soon to be released PC game Joint Operations™: Typhoon Rising™.
The move by NovaLogic to include the PunkBuster software in Joint Operations is another positive step in the company’s continuing crusade to stop cheating in multiplayer games, which are played worldwide via the company’s own internet gaming service, NovaWorld (www.novaworld.com).
"Joint Operations can host huge multiplayer battles online and over LAN, so the need for strong anti-cheat measures is greater than ever," commented Joel Taubel, Producer of Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. Novalogic have just released the Multiplayer Demo. It is only 208mb and can be obtained from a number of places including Novalogic.com or from GamesArena.
- The demo features one map, which splits players into two teams - Joint Operations and Indonesian Rebels. Your team must control all the bases in the map to win the game.
- 19 land, sea and air vehicles, 27 weapons and 5 player classes.
- The demo can be played after the official game is available for a period of time thereafter.
- You can add computer-controlled players to the map. These players will help each team guard and attack, using their artificial intelligence.
